The basics

What does digital lead capture mean?

Digital lead capture means recording new business contacts in an instantly usable form. Instead of saving a paper card for later, name, company, and contact info become a structured data record.

Capture contacts

Two ways, one contact list.

Some encounters end with a paper business card. For others, your counterpart sends you their details back through your digital business card. neco collects both types of contact in a place where you can easily find them later.

Paper business cards become digital contacts.

Take a photo of the received card with your smartphone. neco automatically recognizes the printed info, assigns it to the right contact fields, and prepares the contact for saving.

Contact details can come back to you, too.

When you share your digital neco business card, the recipient can send you their contact details and a message using the built-in form. They don’t need to install the neco app to do this.

Keep context

What the business card doesn’t say.

Name, company, and contact info still don't say why you spoke. On the saved contact, you can add an event and note as needed. neco automatically records the time and location as well.

Targeted contact export

Export contacts to your CRM or address book.

First, select the destination, then choose one, several, or all contacts. The export only starts after you confirm.

Supported destinations include Microsoft Dynamics, HubSpot, Google Contacts or Gmail, Microsoft Outlook or People, and your device's address book.

In everyday business

Capture trade show contacts and continue conversations.

Digital lead capture is especially helpful when you don’t want a stack of cards or manual data entry between an encounter and a follow-up.

After a trade fair conversation

Capture a paper business card you received right on the spot, or let your counterpart send you their details via your digital neco card. A quick note preserves what the conversation was about.

After a client meeting

A structured contact is created from the received card. You’ll later find the person with the key information needed for the next agreed step.

On the go and at networking events

New contacts can be added on the go with your smartphone. No need to type in names, phone numbers, and emails at your desk later.

For follow-ups in your trusted system

When you want to move forward, you can selectively export relevant contacts to the CRM or address book already used by you or your team.

Questions about lead capture

From capture to export.

What does digital lead capture mean?

Digital lead capture describes the journey from a new business interaction to structured contact data, ready for later follow-up. This includes capturing the contact, adding optional conversation context, and smoothly transferring the data to your CRM or address book.

How can I capture new contacts with neco?

You can digitize a received paper business card with the card scanner. Alternatively, your counterpart can send you their contact details and a message via the contact form on your shared online card. Both ways result in a contact in neco.

How can I capture trade fair contacts with neco?

You can scan received paper business cards on site at the event using your smartphone. Alternatively, your counterpart can voluntarily enter their details using the contact form on your digital neco card. Add the event or a short conversation note as needed, so it’s easier to assign the contact later.

Can neco scan trade fair or event badges?

No. The neco scanner is currently intended for paper business cards. Trade fair and event badges are not supported.

Where can I export contacts?

Confirmed export targets include Microsoft Dynamics, HubSpot, Google Contacts or Gmail, Microsoft Outlook or People, and your device’s address book.

Are contacts automatically transferred to my CRM?

No. You initiate the export yourself, choose the destination, and decide whether you want to pass on one, several, or all contacts. The export only starts after your confirmation.

How does neco avoid duplicate contacts when exporting again?

Contacts you’ve already exported via neco are marked accordingly in the app. When exporting again, these previously shared contacts are recognized so duplicates are avoided.

Which plans include contact export?

CRM and Outlook contact export, as well as export without duplicates, are included in Premium and Enterprise. You can see current differences on the pricing page.
